Bo Hines, Executive Director of the White House Crypto Council, has announced his departure from the role to return to the private sector. During his tenure, Hines fostered significant engagement between the government and the cryptocurrency industry, positioning the U.S. as a global leader in crypto innovation.

Patrick Witt, currently deputy director of the council and acting director of the Office of Strategic Capital at the Department of Defense, will succeed Hines. Though stepping down, Hines intends to maintain an advisory role as a special government employee, assisting AI and crypto Czar David Sacks on AI-related initiatives.

In a statement on X, Hines expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the TRUMP administration and highlighted achievements such as the crypto summit and the GENIUS Act. "Together, we have positioned America as the crypto capital of the world," he wrote. David Sacks praised Hines' leadership, crediting him with laying the groundwork for future crypto policy advancements.
